Description
Very Rare - Original Paul Revere Jr. Coin Silver Dessert Spoon with the hallmark "PR”.The item measures 5 & 3/4” inches long.
The item comes in a custom case that includes a nameplate, 1/2 oz. silver medal, 100% white cotton gloves for proper handling of the item, and a special tarnish resistant silver package, especially made to properly store and protect this item.
This ornate styled, circa LATE 1700s- early 1800s spoon, has a fancy engraved design on the tip of the handle. It has a rounded, upturned handle and the initial “D” also hand- engraved. It is hallmark stamped with the “PR” (Paul Revere) hallmark, on the backside of the handle, as typical. This decorative coin silver spoon was made by America's most famous Revolutionary War Patriot-Silversmith, Paul Revere, Jr. and has his identifiable hallmark, “PR” very clearly.
Being a dessert spoon, this one is quite rarer than most known examples. This would make a wonderful addition to any collection. One of the finest examples known.
