Pair of c1845 Antique American Coin Silver Twisted Stem Goblets

Description

Presented is a pair of coin silver stemware cups or goblets made sometime in the mid-1800's. Each of the cups has a finely gadrooned, applied rim and is hand-engraved with the name "Funkhouser" on one side. The engraving is small in scale and beautifully done.
There are no hallmarks or stamps on the cups, but we guarantee them to be made from at least coin silver, that is, 90 percent silver purity.
The condition of the set is good as you will see in the photos. The cups each had a dent professionally repaired, now scarcely visible. There are a few trivial dings visible and there is one assay test mark on the base of one, and multiple tests on the base of the other.
