This is a brand new 8EX transmitter that can be programmed to control your 1st Generation 8EX receiver.
To program the new 8EX transmitter to control a 1st Gen 8EX receiver
:
(1)  remove I-chip from old 8EX transmitter, and install in this new 8EX transmitter
(2)  set both dipswitches of the old TX to match the new TX
(3)  if you do not have an old transmitter to get an I-chip from, then contact us after placing your order to receive a new I-chip pre-programmed, to have an ichip preprogrammed we will need the Sn that can be found on the label on the back of the existing handheld TX unit or on the face of the Receiver unit, also if you have the RF channel that is helpful so that you do not have to set that switch
