    Description

    Scarce, large American coin silver two-handled covered sugar and cover made by Albert Coles, New York: of ovoid outline with domed lid surmounted by a ball finial, with scroll handles to the sides with neoclassical female medallion mask roundels, raised on a spreading circular foot with beaded rim, 22cm. high. Ball finial contains another sphere and acts as a rattle or bell.
    This is paired with a matching waste jug 14cm. high. Very rare pattern, I have only been able to find one matching pattern example online.  Let me know if there are others!
