    Description

Presented is a wonderful quality American coin silver tray by Bigelow Brothers & Kennard of Boston Massachusetts, from circa the mid 1800s. The tray features beautifully hand-engraved designs of grapes, flowers, and vines, surrounding the word 'Gratitude' in Gothic script. The tray is raised on three cast feet, and has a decoratively beaded rim. The reverse of the tray is engraved with a presentation inscription, J.B. to T.C.W. 1859. This is a fabulous piece of American coin silver work, quite heavy and well constructed, and would be an asset to any home or collection.
The underside of the piece is stamped 'coin' and with the hallmark for Bigelow Bros. & Kennard of Boston.
This piece is in excellent condition. There are no splits, no dents, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
The tray is approximately 12 inches in diameter and stands 1 1/4 inches high.
    The tray weighs 854 grams.
